The Southern California School of Interpretation opened in Santa Fe Springs, California.

• Only one program available; Court Interpreter Program

September 1993

SCSI adds two more interpreting programs

• Medical and Administrative Hearings Interpreter

June 1994

SCSI Adds the Federal Interpreter Program

• Attained highest pass rate in the nation

From 1995 to 1999

SCSI opens branches in

• San Diego

• Corona

• Fresno

September 2002

SCSI expands main campus and inaugurates new location.

• 9,000 square feet facility

• Adds additional classrooms and an array of student services

April 2003

SCSI launches the first Telephonic Interpreting Certificate program in the nation.

January 2004

SCSI opens school in Las Vegas, Nevada

February through May 2006

Offered translation certificate through joint program with Universidad de Belgrano of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

May 2006

SCSI launches Online Interpreting Program and closes all satellite branches.

July 2006

Offered translation seminars through joint program with Universidad Autonoma de Baja California Mexico (UABC).

December 2007

ALTA Language Services study ordered by the Judicial Council of California, indicates that SCSI is the school with the highest pass rate of certified interpreters in the state.

October 2011

Participated in ATA Conference in Boston, Massachussetts to announce our new 2LIT® Distance Learning Online Platform.

Years 2012-2013

Celebrating our 20th Anniversary as the leading Spanish language interpreter school for both on-site and on-line interpreter training.
